Julie Moore

1st grade

Mrs. Moore moved to Central Oregon six years ago with her husband and three kids. They love the outdoors and are so grateful to live in such a beautiful place! She began student teaching at CCS in 2019 and fell in love with the Christ-centered environment. She started as a full time first grade teacher in 2020 after earning her Master of Arts in Elementary Education.

She has an Associate of Arts from Yavapai Community College, a Bachelor's of Science in Health Sciences from Kaplan University, an Occupational Associate - Physical Therapist Assistant from Pima Medical Institute, and a Master's of Arts in Elementary Education from Western Governors University.

God has put teaching on Mrs. Moore’s heart her whole life. She taught horseback riding lessons for 9 years as a teenager and young adult. After becoming a PTA, she would work with patients and their families on physical rehabilitation after serious injuries. God used both of these teaching roles to help prepare her to be a strong teacher in the classroom.

Mrs. Moore is most excited to see students learn more about their Savior and who He has called them to be.  She loves teaching first grade, specifically reading and writing. It is amazing to watch the progress of first graders and how eagerly, and rapidly, they can apply new knowledge.  She is both humbled and grateful to be a part of Central Christian!
